Teachers mark each period they teach. When someone is covering a class, that period shows up on the substitute's list for the day, so no register is left blank.

Do students need to install anything?

Students use the Syrantis app on Android or iOS. The office, HODs and teachers use the web portal in any modern browser, with nothing to install.

What happens when a teacher is absent?

The office assigns a substitute for that date. The period moves to the substitute's attendance list for the day, and students see who is covering in their timetable.

Can teachers post announcements on their own?

Teachers can draft them. A teacher's post waits for the office to approve it before anyone sees it, while posts from the office go out straight away.

How are concessions and waivers handled?

Each student's fee can carry a concession with a recorded reason, or be waived entirely. Balances are recalculated from the recorded payments every time, so what the student sees in the app matches the receipts.

Can it handle several programs, semesters and sections?

Yes. Every class is a section of a program and semester for an academic year. Subjects, fees and semester dates are set once per course and shared by all of its sections.

Can we take our data with us?

Yes. Your records are kept in a standard PostgreSQL database and can be exported in full.
